Legacy System Specialist

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Engineering Uplift Team, where you will partner with sister companies to resolve complex technical issues in legacy systems.

This role involves working directly with engineering teams to fix and improve existing platforms, establish robust processes, and guide architecture optimization. You will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems in legacy systems
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Coaching and mentoring team members on best practices and technical standards
  • Collaborating across infrastructure, networking, and application layers to drive full-stack problem solving
  • Rotating between firefighting and consultative uplift work for variety

This is not greenfield work. It requires someone who can thrive in a dynamic environment, handle multiple priorities, and make sound technical decisions under pressure.

The ideal candidate has breadth and depth: hardware, software, networking, infrastructure, cloud migration, and large-scale transactional systems. They should be able to:

  • Work independently but also collaborate effectively with others
  • Be calm under pressure, resilient with tricky personalities, and motivated by making systems better
  • Be pragmatic and commercially aware
  • Win trust and build rapport even in difficult situations

You will have the opportunity to work on systems handling 30+ million transactions per year, influence entire company design, security, and operation of systems, and rotate between firefighting and consultative uplift work for variety.
