Strategic Inventory Manager

A key opportunity exists for a Strategic Inventory Manager who will oversee the management of inventory and stock processes to ensure productivity targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal prices and quality.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels, manage stock control and conduct regular stock audits to maintain an average accuracy level of 90%.
- Collaborate with Design Engineer and Production Managers to ensure accuracy of Bill of Materials reflects actual components and quantities used in production.
- Proven ability to manage and improve competitive cost savings, supplier cost variances, stock cost reductions, supplier performance, and defect rates.
- Accurate recording of variance between recorded and actual inventory levels.
- Minimise frequency of stockouts for items in inventory.
To succeed in this role, you should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
Experience in inventory management, procurement or supply chain management is highly desirable.
