
Safety Systems Specialist

Our client is a leading Australian manufacturing organisation with a rich history spanning over 50 years. They have an engaged and productive workplace where employees work together to deliver business strategy and objectives.
The WHS Advisor role is a highly visible position that provides the opportunity to obtain a holistic view of a safety system, learning all aspects in a manufacturing environment that is growing and developing.
- Ensure the coordination and implementation of health and safety programs;
- Provide advice and assistance on all safety matters, to all workers;
- Focusing on strong preventative activities and processes;
- Participation in the development and further improvement of the WHS Management System.
- Developing and maintaining a training and development structure and system;
- Working with managers and supervisors to ensure workers receive the training required to carry out tasks effectively and safely; and
- Contributing to various projects.
This opportunity allows you to learn and take your existing WHS qualifications (Cert IV min) and experience to a new level. You will be mentored and given the autonomy to grow, working side by side on the factory floor and throughout the organisation.
Required Skills and QualificationsA key aspect of this opportunity is the chance to develop your skills in:
- WHS management and coordination;
- Training and development;
- Preventative activities and processes;
- Project management.
As a WHS Advisor, you will enjoy positive, collaborative, solution-focused relationships with managers, staff, and Executives. Your work is of significant importance to the Board.
