Senior Heritage Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Heritage Specialist to join our team in Newcastle.
- The successful candidate will have significant expertise in Aboriginal heritage management and conservation.
- Overseeing the delivery of heritage projects, including project teams, planning, and execution of fieldwork, budget management, and timeline coordination.
- Engaging with clients to understand their project requirements, providing expert advice on heritage and archaeological matters, and developing tailored solutions.
- Effective stakeholder engagement with both internal and external stakeholders relevant to the role.
- Presenting technical findings and relaying information to non-technical persons, including clients and community.
- Familiarity with heritage and archaeological legislation, regulations, and guidelines, and applying this knowledge to assess significance, develop conservation strategies, and mitigate impacts.
- Mentorship and guidance to junior staff, helping to develop their skills and expertise in heritage and archaeological management and consultancy.

The role involves working closely with a team to deliver Aboriginal heritage related projects, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
