Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team in Perth, Australia. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Statements, as per the month-end timetable. Provide insightful commentary on variances to budget and forecast.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough variance analysis on actuals vs budgets and forecast for revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenses.
- Accounting and Compliance: Work closely with the sales department to ensure timely approval, fulfillment, and billing of sales orders. Ensure correct accounting treatment of software sales, including services and training, and deferred revenue.
- Debt Collection: Ensure timely collection of debtors' receipts.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet items.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Proven background in Management/Operational Accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in NetSuite software (or similar).
- Organized, efficient, and strong attention to detail.
You will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. You will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
