Accounting Specialist

The role of the Accounting Specialist involves providing exceptional accounting services to clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial information. This includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing client records, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Senior Client Manager in managing and nurturing client relationships, addressing inquiries, and ensuring high client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including financial data, correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support seamless project delivery.
  • Train and mentor junior accountants, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in Australian public practice, with a focus on tax, financial reporting, SMSF and a strong command of tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Expertise in Xero and other accounting tools, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities with ease.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
