Senior Student Engagement Officer Role

We are seeking a Senior Student Engagement Officer to join our team at Deakin University. As a key member of our student engagement team, you will play a vital role in promoting campus life and creating engaging experiences for students.

About the Role
  • This part-time position is based at our Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus with flexible work arrangements available.
  • The successful candidate will have experience in event management, health promotion, or a related field.
  • You will be responsible for project managing and delivering medium-risk campaigns and events, as well as providing professional support and advice during pre-planning and implementation phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project manage and deliver medium-risk campaigns and events in accordance with the annual health promotion campaign.
  2. Provide professional event support and advice during pre-planning and on-ground support during implementation phases.
  3. Plan and prioritise work and critical activities, recognising barriers to achieving outcomes and finding effective solutions.
  4. Seek feedback from students and stakeholders regarding satisfaction and perspectives with student central services, responding with openness and transparency.
  5. Broaden relationships with diverse stakeholders, seeking continuous improvement in service delivery and applying critical learnings to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience, or experience in event management/health promotion or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of extensive experience and specialist knowledge, education, and/or training.
  • Experience in program, project, and event coordination, implementation, delivery, and evaluation within an educational institution or complex organisation.
  • Administrative experience, preferably in the education sector.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $92,573 - $99,972 + 17% Superannuation (pro-rata, part-time).
