About this role

We are seeking an experienced professional to work as a Government Benefits Advisor. In this hands-on advisory role, you will combine strategic insight with practical coordination to ensure that our customers receive correct information and entitlements.

This is a challenging and rewarding position that involves working in a small team to manage relationships with federal agencies and internal stakeholders. You will provide expert advice on government products, legislation, and entitlements, as well as facilitate financial advice on Residential Aged Care accommodation options.

Key responsibilities include managing operational relationships with Services Australia and the Department of Veterans' Affairs, providing guidance on Centrelink, Medicare, Aged Care, and Veterans' Affairs schemes, and designing and delivering training sessions for staff in collaboration with these agencies.

You will also be responsible for managing systems linked to the Centrelink online portal and Business Hub. To succeed in this role, you will need strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government benefit schemes, particularly Centrelink, Medicare, Aged Care, and Veterans' Affairs. They will also possess clear communication and problem-solving skills, demonstrated experience in managing stakeholder relationships, and the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
