Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Queensland Government Full time $98,765 - $123,456 per year

Provide secretariat support across a major infrastructure project, ensuring clear coordination, accurate records and strong governance outcomes. This role ensures meetings run smoothly and decisions are well supported through clear documentation, accurate records and effective coordination. Ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where governance really matters.

Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It is a catalyst for wider rail transformation underway across the South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD, with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street. The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also tasked with multiple supporting projects and activities, including accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, upgrades for stabling yards, track works and surface rail enhancements, and the introduction of a new world-class digital train signalling system.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to contribute to region-shaping infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

About The Role

As Governance Advisor, you will deliver secretariat services that ensure meetings are well prepared, decisions are documented clearly, and governance processes remain consistent and compliant.

You will prepare agendas, meeting packs and minutes, maintain action and decision registers, and support the flow of accurate information across teams and stakeholders. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by helping streamline governance processes and ensuring records are maintained to support accountability and transparency.

This position offers the chance to grow your governance experience while contributing to a program that will have lasting impact for Queensland. This opportunity is offered as a two-year fixed term contract with possible extension. We are currently advertising other governance roles in our team. Please check our careers page to view.
