**Job Summary:**
The Legal Case Manager position is a key role within the Federal Court of Australia, working closely with lawyers to provide support to Judicial Registrars. This position requires strong administrative and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- **Provide Support to Judicial Registrars:**
- Assist with mediations and case management
- Support with registrar court work
- Contribute to other registrar work
- Manage costs
- Assist with eCourtroom applications and issue summonses for examination
- Support with national registrar allocations and national training
- Provide administrative support to lawyers
- Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships
- Knowledge of the Federal Court of Australia and Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (general federal law) jurisdiction, practices, and procedures
- Good written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience providing administrative and general support to a legal practitioner
- Ability to evaluate a large volume of information quickly and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, including strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with administrative tasks and technology, including the use of electronic legal resources and the ability to learn and use the court's case management systems and court room technology
- Australian citizenship
- Security and character clearance
- Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period
