About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at CaSE International. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and control of engineering works for designated projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality, Environmental and Safety
    • Ensure that quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.
    • Monitor and control subcontractor performance to ensure quality and standard of workmanship is performed in accordance with specifications.
    • Record and initiate corrective actions for non-conformances as soon as practically possible.
    • Maintain and apply relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements to support responsible decisions and courses of action.
    • Adhere to safety plans for projects and communicate them to project team members, including suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
    • Assist with resolution of safety issues as directed by the Project Manager.
    • Participate in the preparation of safe Work Method Statements in consultation with the work group carrying the proposed activity.
    • Ensure engagement of subcontractors complies with CaSE/clients safety management system and procedures.
    • Lead construction method statements approvals.
    • Lead by example by meeting safety KPIs while ensuring project team members and subcontractor supervisors meet their safety KPIs.
  • Planning and Operations
    • Monitor implementation of construction methods, including audits.
    • Assist the Project Manager with operational aspects of project delivery to ensure effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model.
    • Ensure site-specific management plans are implemented.
    • Maintain and monitor the progress of work and advise the Project Engineer of significant changes and proposed remedial action.
    • Ensure construction-related aspects of the project meet or exceed required performance targets in relation to time, cost, and quality.
    • Communicate the program to subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff to maintain commitment.
    • Prepare, maintain, and achieve detailed short-term target programs for designated work areas.
    • Review subcontractor construction programs and assist in identifying critical areas and integrating them into the Project program.
    • Review and procure appropriate resources to fulfill program requirements (plant, labor, materials, and subcontractor requirements).
    • Make decisions and action all correspondence in a timely manner.
    • Prepare Authority submissions and approval programs to fit within the project program.
    • Consult regularly with site team leads and monitor site team effectiveness/satisfaction.
  • Communication
    • Maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to construction activities.
    • Participate in Client/contractor meetings and resolve Client/engineering and project management issues.
    • Interact with both on-site personnel and other parties to create a positive work environment.
    • Ensure regular two-way communication with the Project Engineer on all matters.
    • Conduct regular site meetings to foster understanding, participation, and enthusiasm.
    • Provide ongoing feedback, support, counsel, through informal discussion, regular review, and formal performance appraisal, and encourage feedback from staff.
    • Establish and maintain a harmonious Client/Customer relationship to assist project delivery and enhance Client satisfaction.
    • Establish and maintain close relationships with Project Managers to drive program and results. Ensure work compliance with site community relations and commitments.
    • Facilitate daily work plan meetings, ensuring required actions are implemented.
