Job Opportunity:
  • Take the lead in estimates, reviewing bid documents and conducting detailed analysis of contract specifications.
  • Ensure full quantity take-offs of labor, equipment, and materials from project documents.
  • Identify risks related to project requirements, site conditions, schedule, and market constraints.
  • Support estimate leads with bid document control, documentation, and archiving.
  • Perform bid-day assignments and collaborate with estimators to successfully close scopes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field or trade experience.
  • 4 years of progressive construction cost estimating experience, with 6 months on-site experience preferred.
  • General construction knowledge and understanding of specifications, drawings, materials, and methods.
  • Intermediate knowledge of key principles in bid preparation, including quantity takeoff procedures and systems.
  • Understanding of compensation models, market conditions, business trends, internal historical information, and competitors.
  • Familiarity with different delivery methods: hard bid, guaranteed maximum price (GMP), unit price, design-build, target prices, and cost reimbursable.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with stakeholders and solicit subtrade partners and suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
