Job Description

A leading commercial interiors company is seeking a Senior Estimator with expertise in shop fitouts and Australian construction practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender proposals for commercial fitout projects.
  • Review architectural drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and scope alignment.
  • Provide cost input during design development, offering value engineering insights where necessary.
  • Collaborate with project and design teams to maintain financial accuracy throughout project phases.
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and historical cost benchmarks.
  • Assist with progress claims and cost-to-complete reports during construction delivery.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying, with at least 2 years in Australian commercial/shop fitouts.
  • Excellent understanding of local building codes, construction standards, and market pricing in NSW and wider Australia.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as CostX, Buildsoft, or similar platforms.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and scope documentation.
  • High level of accuracy, commercial insight, and problem-solving capability.
  • Strong communication skills for dealing with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (desired).
