
Workforce Development Officer

We are seeking a Workforce Development Officer to help cultivate and nurture differentiated pathways into teaching, increasing the number of experienced state school teachers and leaders in priority geographic areas and high demand teaching areas.
This role will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to lead, develop and deliver projects and initiatives focused on attracting, supporting and retaining a diverse job-ready teaching workforce, and embedding equitable, innovative and best-fit workforce initiatives for the Queensland state schooling sector.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have experience in managing project development and implementation across complex projects, including preparing project plans, managing resources and meeting reporting requirements.
They will also be able to work with cross-functional colleagues to plan, prepare and implement strategies, initiatives and processes to achieve optimal results.
The ideal candidate will be outcomes focused, passionate about bringing ideas together into clear plans and delivering against these plans.
They will be highly organised, able to prioritise their workload, manage competing priorities and be transparent with their colleagues about the status of their work.
Additionally, they will possess exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and be able to adapt their communication style for different audiences.
