Job Title: Pastry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pastry Specialist to join our dynamic pastry team in Melbourne. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will assist the Head of Pastry in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

About the Role:
  • Assist the Head of Pastry and Pastry Chef with daily operational duties within the pastry kitchen.
  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery items following recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Support stock management by monitoring ingredient levels and advising the Head of Pastry of requirements.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation alongside the pastry team.
  • Collaborate with the broader kitchen and food and beverage team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Qualifications:
  • Trades qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in a pastry kitchen is highly desirable.
  • A strong passion for pastry arts and attention to detail in quality and presentation.
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment used in pastry production.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure within a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
