About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our pastry team as a Pastries Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with the head of pastry and other team members to prepare, cook, and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

You will be an integral part of our kitchen team, helping maintain exceptional standards in taste, texture, and presentation while ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

  • Assist the head of pastry and other team members with daily operational duties within the pastry kitchen.
  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery items following recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and other specialized pastry tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Support stock management by monitoring ingredient levels and advising the head of pastry of requirements in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation alongside the pastry team.
  • Collaborate with the broader kitchen and food and beverage team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

A trades qualification is essential. Previous experience working in a pastry kitchen is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals with a strong passion for pastry arts and attention to detail in quality and presentation. Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment used in pastry production is also required. Ability to work efficiently under pressure within a team environment is essential. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are also necessary. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety is expected.
