Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Professional to join our culinary team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Pastry and Pastry Chef in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

You will be responsible for assisting with daily operational duties within the pastry kitchen, including preparing ingredients, operating commercial kitchen equipment, and maintaining strict hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Pastry and Pastry Chef with menu development and innovation.
  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery items following recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and other specialized pastry tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Support stock management by monitoring ingredient levels and advising the Head of Pastry of requirements in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Trades qualification in baking or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in a pastry kitchen is highly desirable.
  • A strong passion for pastry arts and attention to detail in quality and presentation.
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment used in pastry production.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure within a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
