We're currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Data Engineering to join our data engineering team, building a massive open-source data storage and ingestion platform to support the entire Rokt ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build complex data systems using open-source technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, Iceberg, Trino, etc.
  • Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity as an individual contributor.
  • Proactively identify and propose improvements to the current system architecture emphasizing performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience as a software engineer with extensive experience working with large amounts of data.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, including stateful services on Kubernetes, NoSQL databases, AWS, and/or GCP.
  • Able to turn ambiguity into clarity and comfortable treading new ground.
