Project Overview:

The Pluto Train 2 project involves the expansion of an LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG facility near Karratha, managed by a leading natural gas producer. We are proud to collaborate with this key client to address the growing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

Job Summary:

As a Craft Supervisor specializing in Scaffolding, you will oversee a team and manage craft professionals on-site. Your role will involve directing activities, coordinating work schedules, and facilitating team development.

Your leadership will ensure that craft professionals are equipped with the necessary tools for productivity while adhering to project policies, procedures, and site regulations, all while meeting specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints. This position operates on a FIFO basis with a 3:1 roster.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership / Supervision

  • Oversee and direct assigned craft activities.
  • Plan work schedules and assess completed tasks.

Planning / Productivity

  • Identify workforce needs.
  • Coordinate operational plans for the designated area.

Tools, Materials & Equipment

  • Monitor the usage of tools and equipment on-site.
  • Ensure preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables, guaranteeing craft professionals have the necessary resources.

Safety & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with the latest design documents and that all design modifications are approved before implementation.
  • Verify that construction operations and subcontractor performance meet specifications and stay within established schedules and budgets.

Technical

  • Collaborate with Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering design documents and vendor specifications.
  • Oversee engineering solutions with subcontractors and craft professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operations.
  • Previous experience in construction projects with knowledge of supervisory roles related to field activities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and balance immediate and long-term objectives.
  • Familiarity with subcontracting processes and responsibilities outlined in subcontract documents.
  • Experience in supervising and managing subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.
  • Knowledge of environmental, safety, and health project requirements.
  • Understanding of project-specific environmental compliance standards.

Additional Information

This role involves exposure to varying environmental, construction, and operational conditions, including extensive walking on active sites, climbing, working at heights, and using personal fall protection equipment. Candidates must be able to utilize standard Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required for assigned tasks.

The Pluto Train 2 Project is classified as a Major Hazard Facility, meaning that this is a non-smoking site where tobacco products are prohibited.

This position is open to both local and non-local personnel, with a FIFO/DIDO working roster of 3/1.
