Lead Youth Justice Policy Specialist
Job Description:As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing youth justice policy that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of Queensland communities. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to lead legislative and policy projects related to youth justice law.
You will provide strategic policy advice to the Minister and other stakeholders, conducting thorough research and analysis to inform your recommendations. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to build strong partnerships with professional organisations and community groups, driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
Through collaboration and consultation, you will help shape policy briefs, ministerial correspondence, and submissions to Parliament. You will also supervise and mentor legal and policy officers, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to excel in their roles.
With a commitment to cultural capability, you will foster an inclusive culture that supports departmental programs and community partnerships, preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A degree in law from a recognised tertiary institution or admission as a barrister or solicitor
- Higher studies in law, public administration, or related areas highly regarded
