About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Coordinator, Youth Justice to join us on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves active outreach across the community, courts, detention centers, and watchhouses.
The Coordinator, Youth Justice plays a critical leadership role, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of youth justice programs that support young people aged 10-17 who display offending behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of mentors and practitioners to deliver best-practice, client-focused services.
- Manage team operations, including supervision, staff development, recruitment, induction, and rostering.
- Oversee referrals from youth justice and allocate to appropriate staff.
- Provide guidance in implementing support plans and matching mentors based on young people's needs.
- Promote and maintain a culturally safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
Requirements:
- Degree in social work, human services, behavioral science, psychology, or similar (essential).
- Current blue card (working with children check).
- Current national police check.
- Queensland driver licence.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the service region.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including on-call support.
