Job Title: Insurance Underwriting Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Underwriting Expert to join our team. As an underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing risk in accordance with company policies and guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating insurance applications and assessing risk levels;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports of underwriting activity;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and other stakeholders;
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication skills;
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments;

You will work closely with our senior underwriters and management team to ensure that all underwriting activities are carried out in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of insurance underwriting principles and practices;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software;
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance underwriting or a related field.
