Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Property Underwriter to join our team. As a Property Underwriter, your key focus will be on delivering exceptional underwriting services and driving business growth through the provision of specialist advice and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use expertise to provide insightful guidance across our scheme and facilities business
  • Build strong relationships with customers, agency networks, and internal stakeholders
  • Support the development of strategy and share knowledge and best practices
  • Monitor and review the quality of underwriting activity
  • Maintain strong knowledge of best practice, legislation, and compliance standards
  • Deliver training to upskill agent knowledge base and enhance our proposition
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects to add value across the organisation

Requirements:

  • Insurance professional with proven Property Underwriting experience
  • Commercial background is an advantage
  • Flexibility to work across a changing portfolio
  • Strong customer / broker relationship skills and focus
  • Broad understanding of Property specific underwriting
  • Proven knowledge of relevant market conditions for specific class / portfolio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • A keen interest in data analytics and the mindset to apply those results within the business
