">Role Overview

As a Manager – Digital Engineering, you will play a key role in elevating our technical and engineering capabilities across Digital Sales & Services platforms. We are seeking a strategic and inspiring leader who can mentor a team of Technical Leads, influence a wider community of engineers, and establish engineering standards.

  • Lead and develop a team of Technical Leads while influencing a broader community of engineers.
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards to ensure architectural consistency and technical quality across platforms.
  • Develop and execute technical strategy that supports brand autonomy and enables faster, decoupled releases and improves speed to value.
  • Champion engineering culture through Dev Guilds, capability uplift, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
  • Influence the tech platform roadmap, aligning engineering initiatives with business goals and modern delivery practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, maintainable, and customer-centric digital solutions.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in major locations of Australia and New Zealand.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in complex, multi-brand digital environments.
  • Strong technical foundation in modern web technologies and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps.
  • Passion for mentoring and uplifting engineering capability.
  • Experience with platform thinking, federated delivery models, and enabling autonomy at scale.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to deal with ambiguity.
