Asphalt Manufacturing Position:
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill an Asphalt Manufacturing position. Key responsibilities will include operating and maintaining asphalt plants, dispatching trucks, ordering raw materials, record keeping, and ensuring on-site quality assurance.
Key tasks of the role include:
- Batching orders accurately to specified mix designs and utilizing a docket dispatch system
- Day-to-day administration of the asphalt plant, including stock control of raw materials
- Collaboration with the laboratory team
- Maintenance of a clean and safe work environment, including yard and plant housekeeping and operation of a front-end loader
- Routine inspections and maintenance of fixed plant equipment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience in batching and/or asphalt industries
- A strong commitment to safety and environmental sustainability, along with excellent customer service skills
- Relevant qualifications, such as forklift, EWP, or confined space tickets
- Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and prioritizing competing deadlines
- Flexibility to work a 4-week rotating roster, including day, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts
