Opportunity for a Mechanical Expert

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced mechanic to join our team in Seven Hills.

Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to undertake and oversee the maintenance requirements for mobile asphalt plant equipment and heavy vehicle fleet, with a combination of workshop and field service.

Your Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Work independently, prioritizing tasks with operational teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards for mobile asphalt equipment and heavy vehicles
  • Maintain equipment according to company requirements for operational purposes and business objectives
  • Perform a mix of workshop and field-based tasks, with potential nighttime standby duties
  • Verify relevant permits and safety documentation before starting tasks
  • Supervise contractors and labor on-site
  • Monitor plant equipment for defects using our maintenance system
  • Conduct equipment assessments and reviews, developing improvement plans

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Trade-qualified Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • HR License (desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on safety
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
