About the Role

This position as a Financial Services Administrator in our Retail Client Services Team presents an ideal opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of financial services and be involved in meaningful work across the business that will challenge you and enrich your career path.

You will have exposure to all aspects of the company and work in a supportive, team-based environment. After onboarding, you will generally spend 3 days a week in the office (with additional days as required).

This role is available for an initial period of 12 months.

About the Team

Our Financial Services Administrators sit within the Retail Customer Services Team, a diverse group of experienced professionals invested in making a difference to our customers and contributing to Challenger's exceptional service.

Our Leaders are dedicated to developing their people and thrive in creating opportunities for growth and skill enrichment within the team, with regular check-ins and training guaranteed.

This role provides the perfect opportunity to collaborate with team members across Client Services, with development opportunities to upskill across the wider Retail Client Services team as needed. The ideal candidate must be flexible and adaptable to change and seek new challenges as part of their own development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process applications, maturities, and withdrawals for clients within set SLAs
  • Vet incorrect forms and requests and follow up via email and outgoing phone calls to investors and financial advisers
  • Identify and escalate priority issues with Leaders for quick resolution
  • Support extended team efforts to meet customer servicing needs by upskilling
  • Attend relevant training and meetings and demonstrate constructive participation in collaborative settings
  • Proactively engage in learning and seek opportunities for growth and development of new skills
  • Leverage creativity to identify opportunities to recommend and influence process improvements
  • Make responsible decisions within limits of authority to resolve minor difficulties and devise solutions to unique problems
  • Other duties assigned by Team Leader to meet customer and team needs

What You'll Need

  • A finance-related degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience (not limited to financial services)
  • Confident written communication skills
  • Strong active-listening and verbal-communication skills
  • Sound computer literacy and ability to work with multiple applications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success working in a team
  • Awareness of customer service principles and practices
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with Retirement and Managed Investment products in the Australian market highly regarded
  • RG271 preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification highly regarded

Salary Range:$65,000 - $90,000 per annum depending on experience.
