We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Neurology Department as a Nurse Practitioner.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care to individuals living with epilepsy. Your expertise and compassion will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individualized needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provide advanced nursing care, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and preventative measures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of protocols and procedures
Nurses at this level are working towards becoming experts in their specialist field, within their scope of practice.
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Additionally, you must be enrolled (or be eligible to enrol) in an NMBA approved program of study leading to endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
