Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

The role of a nurse practitioner involves providing high-quality care to clients in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide community nursing services that cater to the needs of our clients.
  • Administer medications and document their therapeutic effects, ensuring accurate patient records.
  • Monitor vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to inform treatment decisions.
  • Support resident comfort through effective communication and personalized care.
  • Prepare and administer injections and enemas as required, adhering to established protocols.
  • Collect samples for testing and monitor catheters to prevent complications.
  • Provide wound care that promotes healing and prevents further damage.
  • Coach staff on best practices and procedures to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Div 1 Registered Nurse is mandatory.
  • A current DCSI Clearance or willingness to obtain is essential.
  • A National Police Clearance is necessary.
  • A Medication Administration Certificate is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is essential.
  • An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is desirable.
