About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our Banking and Financial Services technology team. As a Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional support experience to our customers by resolving their issues through support tickets.

You will work in a dynamic environment where modern tools and technologies are applied at scale. Our team is passionate about accelerating the digital enterprise, connecting people and data, building platforms and applications, and designing tomorrow's technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers via support tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Java, Containers, Cloud Platforms, micro-services, APIs, SQL and NoSQL Databases, Event Streaming, Data Analytics, Test Driven Development, Continuous Delivery, and Site Reliability Engineering tools.
  • Work on a roster-based schedule to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous learning to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
Requirements
  • Previous technical support experience and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent call logging and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Java/J2ee and exposure to cloud-based technologies, with prior experience on AWS or GCP being a bonus.
  • Experience with data integration and/or manipulation projects.
  • Proven ability in application debugging using Sumo Logic (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work on a roster-based schedule.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Internet and Networking concepts, protocols, and hardware.
  • IT qualifications will be highly regarded (i.e., CCNA, MCSA, IT degree/diploma).
