About the Role
  • As an experienced technician, you will provide technical support for on-site equipment and explosive delivery systems.
  • You will perform routine inspections, maintenance tasks, and basic repairs in remote environments.
  • Assist with calibration, system checks, and operational readiness of mobile units.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in harsh conditions.
  • Complete and submit service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
  • Support the commissioning and decommissioning of field equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical, automotive, or diesel fitting.
  • Experience in mobile equipment servicing or field-based technical support.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability in hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Current manual driver's license (HR license desirable).
  • Familiarity with explosive delivery systems is advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of safety and environmental protocols in mining sites.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.

Requirements:

  • Valid Queensland Explosives Security Clearance or the ability to obtain.
