Facilities Maintenance Officer

As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of school buildings and grounds.

This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, repairs, and collaboration with contractors to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform or arrange necessary repairs and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct building maintenance tasks such as repairing locks, doors, furniture, light fittings, and plumbing; patching holes; touch-up painting; and assisting with renovations and refurbishments.
  • Prepare and maintain play areas, grassed areas, and sports fields, including line marking.
  • Liaise with grounds and property sub-contractors.
  • Report non-programmed maintenance needs to the relevant team leader.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in maintenance and building repair.
  • Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards.
  • First aid qualified (or willingness to obtain).
