About our school

We are a co-educational institution located in Blacktown, Sydney. Our mission is to partner with parents in the Christian education of their children by equipping students to be disciples of Jesus through Christ-centred Biblical education.

This role is responsible for maintaining the upkeep and functionality of school facilities and grounds under the direction of the Property Team Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as relevant experience in maintenance and building repair.

To achieve this, the successful candidate will:

  • Perform regular inspections to identify potential issues.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  • Develop strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

In addition to these responsibilities, the role may also involve bus driving duties.

A First Aid qualification would be highly regarded, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform or arrange necessary repairs and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct building maintenance tasks such as repairing locks, doors, furniture, light fittings, and plumbing; patching holes; touch-up painting; and assisting with renovations and refurbishments.
  • Prepare and maintain play areas, grassed areas, and sports fields, including line marking.
  • Liaise with grounds and property sub-contractors.
  • Report non-programmed maintenance needs to the Property Team Coordinator.
  • Relevant experience in maintenance and building repair.
  • Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards.
  • First aid qualified (or willingness to obtain).
