Train Station Security Specialist

Protecting the public and maintaining a safe environment is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

The Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling train stations, implementing crowd control measures and de-escalating anti-social behaviour. They will also protect assets and ensure safety within Stabling Yards, monitor CCTV footage and control access to sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Patrolling train stations to implement crowd control measures
  • Protecting assets and ensuring safety within Stabling Yards
  • Monitoring CCTV footage
  • Controlling access to sites
  • Logging electronic reports for any incidents and hazards
  • Demonstrating conflict resolution skills and communicating security concerns
  • Providing a visible security presence to other stakeholders
  • Cooperating with safety engagements and periodic memo requirements
  • Assisting passengers with queries and providing customer assistance

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Current Security Licence (1AC)
  • Valid NSW Driver's Licence
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • The ability to work a 24/7 roster
