Workshop Maintenance Specialist

Cargill is seeking a skilled Workshop Maintenance Specialist to join our facility in Newcastle, Australia. As part of a small and autonomous team, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal asset health for plant equipment, systems and structures.
Main Responsibilities- Perform maintenance tasks to guarantee peak operational performance of the production facility.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, lubrications and inspections to identify potential issues.
- Report information regarding subsequent work required, preventative maintenance issues and completion of work order documentation.
- Maintain adherence to food safety and quality management processes and procedures.
- Fitter or equivalent trade qualification.
- Forklift license.
- Confined space entry certification.
- Elevated work platform certification.
- Manufacturing and process experience particularly in food and beverage desirable but not essential.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Able to hold forklift and elevated work platform Operator certificates of competency.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated and proactive.
- Task prioritization, problem solving and decision making skills.
The successful candidate will be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
