Job Description:

The role of the Maintenance Specialist - Mechanical is to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability through regular maintenance, condition monitoring, and prompt response to breakdowns.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
  • Conduct pre / in progress / post machine inspections as required and submit reports
  • Respond to breakdown requests and rectify issues promptly
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers and workshop personnel
  • Participate in workshop and site commissioning as needed

Key qualifications include:

  • Certificate IV or higher qualifications are highly regarded
  • Trainer and assessor qualifications are highly valued
  • Coal Board Medical certification is essential

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing feedback to the Engineering team on current machine issues and recommending solutions
  • Assuming Team Leader responsibilities for major change outs when necessary
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to machines while in the field
Required Skills & Qualifications:

A minimum Certificate IV qualification in a related field is essential. Trainer and assessor qualifications are also highly valued.
