About the Role

As a part-time Myotherapist, you will provide holistic, integrated care to our clients, enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. You will work with clients with a wide variety of physical conditions and tailor your care to make a real difference in your client's quality of life. This role involves working within a collaborative team with Physiotherapists and other Massage Therapists.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing symptoms and medical history, making a diagnosis, and developing care plans for individuals
  • Manipulating muscles and other soft tissue
  • Providing education and training to clients on all aspects of therapy
  • Setting goals and guiding clients on stretching, strengthening, and improving posture
  • Referring clients to Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology treatment when necessary
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored
  • Documenting and reporting on client progress

Requirements

  • Qualification in Remedial Massage and/or Myotherapy
  • Medibank Private and other private health registration
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check upon successful application
