Overview of the Position

As a part-time Myotherapist, you will deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care to enhance the mobility and overall well-being of our clients. Your expertise will be utilized to assist individuals with a diverse range of physical ailments, customizing your approach to significantly improve their quality of life. This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists and fellow Massage Therapists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluating client symptoms and medical histories, establishing diagnoses, and formulating personalized care plans
  • Performing manual therapy techniques on muscles and soft tissues
  • Instructing clients on various therapeutic practices
  • Guiding clients in setting therapeutic goals and providing advice on stretching, strengthening, and posture improvement
  • Referring clients to Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology services as necessary
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure effective care plans are developed and monitored
  • Keeping detailed records and reporting on client progress and conditions

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualification in Remedial Massage and/or Myotherapy
  • Registration with Medibank Private and other private health insurers
  • Valid Australian Working Rights
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check upon successful application
