Job Overview

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the reliability and safety of our train fleet. Your primary responsibilities will include inspecting, servicing, overhauling, and repairing systems, equipment, and components on the Tangara Fleet.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting, servicing, overhauling, and repairing systems, equipment, and components on the Tangara Fleet
  • Performing inspections, maintenance, overhauls, fault finding, repairs, modifications, upgrades, component changes, and functional testing on the Tangara Fleet train equipment and components
  • Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals to achieve project goals
About the Project

The Tangara Fleet Life Extension project is a cutting-edge initiative aimed at upgrading operating systems, modernising onboard passenger information systems, and enhancing accessibility features for mobility-impaired passengers. As part of this project, you will have the opportunity to work on complex technical problems and contribute to the enhancement of the rail network in NSW.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • You hold an electrical trade qualification with experience in electrical heavy engineering or maintenance
  • You excel in fault finding, communication, and lateral thinking
  • You take pride in resolving technical issues and are eager to enhance your skills through additional training
