Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate safely and efficiently in blast patterns to achieve daily objectives.
  • Ensure the safe use, storage, security, transport and handling of explosives according to statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the blast team to meet daily operational targets.

Requirements:

  • Previous Blast Crew or Bench Hand equivalent experience.
  • Standard 11 qualification and QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or ability to obtain one).
  • Experience in an open-cut mining environment.
  • Desirable: RIIBLA201E – Support Shotfiring Operations.
  • A can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Good physical health and fitness.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks including medicals and national background checks.
