Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on a key role in our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in compliance and operational risk management, specifically in the Institutional Banking and Markets Operations function.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced executive to leverage their skills and experience to drive better customer outcomes through effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing independent, pragmatic, and value-adding Compliance and Operational Risk advice, risk-in-change assessments, assurance, and approval/acceptance for the risk associated with the support provided by the Operations function to the IB&M business.
  • Monitoring and reporting of 3LoA activities to senior management, including BAU management of the Risk Management Approach, Compliance Management Framework, and the Operational Risk Management Framework in support of CPS 220.
  • Contributing to regulatory submissions, attestations, incident notification, regulatory consultations, regulatory change implementation, and other matters as required under internal frameworks, policies, and governance.
  • Acting as the lead Compliance SME for stakeholder engagements and providing constructive challenge across all levels.
  • Supporting the oversight and monitoring of key operational controls, issues, and incidents, risk-in-change, licensing, and obligations, risk acceptance.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently on initiatives while being a team player when collaboration is needed.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy, strong influencing skills, and the ability to engage pragmatically as a trusted but independent partner. The ideal candidate will possess a curious and humble mindset, understanding of external trends and changes, interest in learning, and a commitment to building risk management best practices.

Requirements
  • Strong expertise in compliance and operational risk management, specifically in Institutional Banking and Markets Operations.
  • High-quality written and verbal communication skills, report writing, evidence gathering, and data capabilities.
  • Stakeholder and influencing skills, with the ability to engage pragmatically as a trusted but independent partner.
  • A curious and humble mindset, understanding of external trends and changes, interest in learning, and a commitment to building risk management best practices.
  • Ability to work independently on initiatives and be a team player when collaboration is needed.
