About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to oversee the implementation of individualized supports within supported independent living accommodations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for strengthening the knowledge and abilities of our support workers to ensure a person-centered culture within the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide direct support and lead your team across a range of customer needs including domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
  • To operate an allotted SIL/s with administrative functions while providing leadership and mentoring to a team of Disability Support Workers to support and develop skill capacity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Prior experience in the Health Sector is highly regarded.
  • Cert 4 or higher in a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership/management experience is highly regarded.
  • Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability.
  • Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships.
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement.
  • Ability to obtain a paid NSW and VIC Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
  • Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs.
  • Smart Phone.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
