Disability Support Manager

We have an opening for an experienced Team Leader to join our team in the Wodonga region.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of individualised supports within supported independent living accommodation settings. This includes strengthening the knowledge and abilities of our Support Worker team to ensure a person-centered and high-quality culture within the program.
Your Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support and lead your team across a range of customer needs, including domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
- Ensure the operation of an allotted SIL/s with administrative functions, providing leadership and mentoring to a team of Disability Support Workers to support and develop skill capacity.
- Prior experience in the Health Sector is highly valued.
- Cert 4 or higher in a related field is required.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is highly regarded.
- Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability.
- Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships.
- Able to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement.
- Able to obtain a paid NSW and VIC Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
- A minimum of 50 hours per fortnight.
