Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Freight Transport Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.

The Freight Transport Specialist will work closely with our logistics team to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers across the region.

About the Role:
  • To represent the company in a professional manner while transporting freight from customers and delivering to customers in a consistent and timely manner.
  • To ensure freight is securely loaded and unloaded and transported in accordance with safety regulations.
  • To adhere to scanning and Proof of Delivery procedures and safe and law-abiding driving practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and collect all consignment paperwork and/or manifests and notes at pickup points.
  2. Ensure freight is packaged in a safe and effective manner.
  3. Participate in pre-delivery checks to ensure the integrity of the load.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have a strong attention to detail. A valid driver's license and experience in freight transport or a related field are essential. Additional skills in radio communications systems, Load Restraint Systems & Equipment, and restraining loads in accordance with National Transport Commission's Load Restraint Guidelines are highly desirable.
