Job Title:

Coordinate Transport Operations to Meet Service Targets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily transport operations to meet service and revenue targets.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Create and process purchasing transactions, quotes, and freight charges.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Analyse performance data and implement improvements to drive service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and support effective planning and reporting processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and hands-on experience in logistics, ideally across both port and rail settings.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or at least two years of experience in a similar logistics role.
  • Solid knowledge of NHVR, customs, and biosecurity regulations.
  • Experience using transport or cargo management systems.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with customers and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Flexibility to work at short notice, including irregular hours and weekends when required.
