Respirator Fit Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to conduct quantitative fit testing for all staff members that may be required to use P2/N95 respirators.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the highest standards of health and safety for our frontline healthcare workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative fit testing in accordance with relevant Occupational health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, and Respiratory Protection Program procedures and requirements.
  • Support and educate staff on correct fit checking, donning and doffing procedures when using an N95 respirator.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective implementation of the Respiratory Protection Program.
  • Provide excellent communication skills to support and educate staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a clinical hospital setting (i.e. Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional).
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge base of Outlook, Microsoft operating suites - including MS Teams.
  • Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, both AM and PM shifts across multiple sites.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the immunisation policy.
