Facilities Operations Assistant

About the Role:

The role of Facilities Operations Assistant is to deliver high-quality support services that enhance the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class operations. This includes providing assistance to students, handling general administration tasks, purchasing and organizing tools and equipment for students and staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in achieving a positive learning experience
  • Perform various administrative tasks
  • Purchase and organize tools and equipment for educational purposes
  • Engage in manual handling activities as required

This position requires a proactive individual who is willing to take initiative in supporting learning outcomes and classroom delivery. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools, and conducting minor repairs and maintenance.

Key requirements include:

  • A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a trade or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to purchase materials within a trade environment
  • Demonstrated skills in using hand and power tools, small machinery, and tool maintenance
  • Demonstrated teamwork and independence

Desirable attributes include holding a forklift license and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
