Job Summary:

We are seeking an Education Support Professional to assist teachers in delivering high-quality education programs for students with special needs.

  • The successful applicant will work under general supervision and guidance, implementing specialized education programs and contributing to the overall achievement of students and the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned education programs, including the operation of computers and digital technologies, in collaboration with teachers and other support staff.
  • Implement individual student or small group programs or demonstrations, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide advice and expertise, supporting student and whole-school achievement.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, assisting with the general care and well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights.
  • A valid Working With Children Check and a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Organisational and initiative-taking skills, with the ability to utilize technology to support teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents, with the ability to provide support and assistance as needed.
