This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) Education Assistant – Mainstream position commencing Term 4, 2025. The role is located at Lakelands Primary School, an Independent Public School in Lakelands, north of Mandurah. The school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year Six and currently has 670 students.

The RoleAs an Education Assistant – Mainstream, the successful applicant should have the ability to assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs across a variety of year levels and work with individual students or small groups, including students at educational risk.
The successful applicant will assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations, and assist with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. The applicant should be resilient and possess a high care for students with the belief that all students can progress when they are supported appropriately. The Education Assistant – Mainstream should build and maintain successful relationships with students and other stakeholders and work as part of a team.

EligibilityTo work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
