
Rugby Government Relations Manager

This role will build strong relationships at all levels of government, manage the flow of information between local stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of hosting obligations and commitments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic advice on government-related matters
- Understand the political landscape within each jurisdiction and prioritize the tournament
- Manage government working groups and ensure a continual flow of information
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure delivery of hosting obligations
The ideal candidate has experience working with governments in a major event environment or equivalent, is politically astute and a natural communicator, and has excellent negotiation skills and relationship-management skills.
We are looking for a proactive individual who can anticipate needs, navigate ambiguity, and cut through complexity. The successful candidate will have flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
